Takeaways
- These are some fun rankings of the top producing Fort Hood Area buyer’s agents
- Always interview multiple agents when selecting a Realtor for your home purchase!
Before I listed the top listing (seller) agents in the Fort Hood area. Now it’s buyers agents turn!
Most agents work with both buyers and sellers, which is why many names appear on both lists. But only 17 of the 54 listing agents from the previous post were also among the 29 agents. Many agents choose to specialize.
What is different about buyers agents vs sellers agents? Buyers agents do fewer deals, generally. It is easier to work with 10 sellers simultaneously than it is 10 buyers. Working with buyers demands more time – showing homes in particular.
And if you’re looking for an agent, be sure to consult my many articles about choosing the right agent for you.

During this time there were 2014 homes purchased with the help of 438 agents – or 4.6 homes per agent on average.
Bulk Buyers Award – Jean Shine
Most Singly Family Resale Homes Bought, 7/15/15 – 7/15/16
Rank | Agent | Brokerage | # Listings Sold |
---|---|---|---|
#1 | Jean Shine | Coldwell Banker United | 104 |
#2 | Shelly Salas | The Salas Team | 93 |
#3 | Jessica Lloyd | EXIT Homevets Realty | 27 |
#4 | Freda Reed | New Homes Market Center | 22 |
#5 | Laura Segarra | EXIT Homevets Realty | 21 |
#6 | Andres Lopes | EXIT Homevets Realty | 18 |
#7 | Rick Ott | RE/MAX Homestead | 17 |
#8 | C C Harris | Realty Executives of Killeen | 17 |
#9 | Lisa Truitt | ERA Colonial Real Estate | 14 |
#10 | Angelique Corretti | New Homes Market Center | 14 |
Just as with listings, Jean Shine and Shelly Salas are the #1 and #2 top producing agents in the Fort Hood market. But the rest of the list has quite a bit of turnover. EXIT Homevets Realty in particular makes a strong showing with 3 of the top 10 buyer agents by production.
Deluxe Dachas Award – Teresa Adams
Highest Median Price Point
Rank | Agent | Brokerage | Median Sell $ |
---|---|---|---|
#1 | Teresa Adams | Heights Discount Realty | $230,750 |
#2 | Lisa Truitt | ERA Colonial Real Estate | $183,750 |
#3 | Robin Busch | StarPointe Realty | $179,000 |
Teresa Adams also had the highest median sales price. Unsurprisingly, these three also had the highest median $/sq. ft., but in reverse order to above. The median for all agents during the same time period was $118,000.
Nose to Grindstone Award – Audrey Bear
Lowest Median Price Point
Rank | Agent | Brokerage | Median Sell $ |
---|---|---|---|
#1 | Audrey Bear | Bear Real Estate | $84,500 |
#2 | Cyndi Cobb | The Real Estate Marketplace | $85,000 |
#3 | Marina Prieto | Century 21 Diamond Realty | $90,000 |
Audery Bear, who also took home gold in this category as a listing agent, works hard for her buyers on homes that don’t earn her the massive commissions of some other homes.
Haggling Hero Award – Marina Prieto
Best List/Sell Ratio
Rank | Agent | Brokerage | Median Sell / List Ratio |
---|---|---|---|
#1 | Marina Prieto | Century 21 Diamond Realty | 93.4% |
#2 | Teresa Adams | Heights Discount Realty | 95.1% |
#3 | Patrick Maxam | RE/MAX RedZone | 95.6% |
Want an agent who can get you the biggest discount on your perfect home? Marina Prieto had the best sell/list ratio – the typical sales price she negotiated was only 93.4% of the seller’s original listing price. The competition wasn’t even that close, though props to both Teresa (again!) and Patrick Maxam.
Clear to Close Award – Carmen Colon
Shortest median days on to closing (from contract to closing)
Rank | Agent | Brokerage | Median Closing Length |
---|---|---|---|
#1 | Carmen Colon | Keller Williams | 28 |
#2 | Marina Prieto | Century 21 Diamond Realty | 32.5 |
#3 | Paula Raymond | Texas Heritage Real Estate | 34 |
It’s time to move! Here are the agents who have managed to get you to the closing table the fastest. Now, some of this may be because their buyers pay cash more often (closes quicker), or they work with good lenders, but under 30 days in am impressive feat for Carmen Colon when many lenders recommend planning on 60 or even 90 days to get to closing!
Conclusion
There are a lot of great, local agents who didn’t make the lists above. These lists are more for fun than a truly valuable metric of any agent’s quality. Small sample sizes, luck and randomness means this list will be changing all the time.
