Len Schwertner is a small neighborhood on the northern edge of Killeen (with Fort Hood beyond). An older neighborhood featuring smaller homes, it is an example of some parts of Killeen that have seen prices drop due to the rampant new and affordable building in the last decade south of Highway 190. That said, the entry level prices may be attractive to first time homebuyers or those looking to get out of the rent cycle. It is also an area of town that investors are active, mostly looking for fix-and-hold rentals.
